وتعرض برونو فرنانديز للإصابة في الكاحل خلال مواجهة برايتون، يوم الأحد الماضي في كأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي على ملعب “ويمبلي”.

وقال تين هاج في تصريحاته التي نشرتها شبكة “ذا أثلتيك” العالمية: “هناك لاعبون غير موجودين غدًا، ليساندرو مارتينيز وفاران، علينا أن نرى حالة برونو فرنانديز، لا نعرف موقفه حتى الآن”.

James Anderson has said a desire to prove their critics wrong was at the heart of England’s improved performance in the second Test in Mumbai. Anderson, a member of the team that was beaten by nine wickets at Ahmedabad before winning by 10 wickets in Mumbai, accepted that England had “slipped up” in the first Test but felt that the motivation to “prove a point” had inspired them in the second.”The confidence was always there,” Anderson said. “We just slipped up in the first innings at Ahmedabad, which cost us the game. We performed much better in the second innings there and that gave us more confidence moving forward to Mumbai.”The fact is we really wanted to prove a point as well. It was quite easy for everyone to say we were going to lose 4-0 after that first Test, but we kept believing that we could actually cause an upset in this series. We needed a couple of guys to stand up, and we had three or four who really stood up and gave a great account of themselves in Mumbai and ended up winning the game for us. Moving on, we definitely feel like we can keep improving. I know a couple of guys made the majority of our runs at Mumbai, so hopefully throughout the series more people can contribute. Maybe the seamers will take a couple more wickets, too.”Anderson rated the Mumbai win as memorable an overseas victory as he had experienced in his time in the team. Not only did it show that England could bounce back from a dispiriting defeat, but it showed they were coming to terms with their issues against with spin bowling and their issues playing in Asian conditions.”We were written off after the first Test,” Anderson said. “You looked on Twitter and everyone was saying 4-0, it’s going to be 4-0. We knew it was going to difficult. Then we lost the toss on a pitch that should have suited them down to the ground – and we out-batted them and out-bowled them. I thought it was an incredible effort. It’s certainly up there for me as one of the best we’ve ever had.”The victory in Adelaide in 2010 was good. But that pitch had a little bit of seam movement in it, which has been our strength over the past few years. We’re not supposed to be able to play spin, we’re not supposed to be able to play on the subcontinent, and we proved to everyone that we can do it. It feels better than Adelaide. And it even feels better than the Test we won here in 2006. The guys involved – guys like me and Monty Panesar and Kevin Pietersen say it feels better than that. Now we can really use it as a springboard and hopefully push on for the rest of the series.”Anderson also admitted that he had tried to offer some encouragement to his fast-bowling colleague, Stuart Broad. Broad has failed to take a wicket in either of the first two Tests and could well lose his place to Steven Finn for the third Test at Ahmedabad. But, whatever his current form, Anderson remains a believer in Broad’s ability.”It’s difficult,” Anderson said. “If you’re not on top of your game out here, you’re going to go for runs and that’s what’s happened to Broady. But he’s a strong character. He’s been through this before – we’ve all been through it – but he’s a strong enough character to bounce back.”We knew it was going to be tough series for seamers. Anything outside off stump is pretty much a free hit for them. But we’ve got to try to stay positive about it. – Respeito a opinião da comissão técnica. Sou funcionário do São Paulo e estou à disposição do São Paulo como todos os atletas. Acho que talvez a pressão externa por conta da torcida tenha pesado para que ele fizesse essa troca, mas acho que fizemos um ótimo primeiro turno. Joguei todo o primeiro turno, no segundo o nosso time caiu um pouco de produção e acaba sobrando para alguém. Acho que tenho bagagem para superar isso, o importante é que o São Paulo permaneça na parte de cima da tabela – explicou o goleiro.

Contratado no início de 2017, Sidão foi titular com todos os treinadores que passaram pelo clube de lá para cá. Apesar disto, nunca foi unanimidade no São Paulo. O arqueiro já disputou posição com Denis e Renan Ribeiro, no ano passado, e agora, mais uma vez, tenta recuperar seu espaço.

Sidão tem contrato com o Tricolor até o fim do ano que vem. Para a próxima temporada há a possibilidade alta do São Paulo ir atrás de um goleiro experiente. A diretoria estuda o nomes de alguns jogadores para a posição que poderiam reforçar o grupo em 2019. Fora isto, o grupo ainda conta com o jovem Lucas Perri, que coleciona passagens pela base da Seleção Brasileira e pede passagem no clube.

– Você vestir a camisa do São Paulo é um grande peso, todo atleta que veste a camisa do São Paulo vai ser cobrado para ter um grande desempenho, tenho 70 jogos com a camisa do São Paulo, não é qualquer um que consegue isso, faz parte, torcedor quer sempre vencer, quer sempre viver grande situações, isso aí é normal – concluiu Sidão.

واستكمل: “الصفقات الجديدة لم تضف كثيرًا لنادي الزمالك، وطالما فيريرا لا يعتمد عليهم، فهو لم يطلبهم من الأساس، والموسم الماضي كان هناك لاعبين لديهم إصرار ورغبة في الفوز وكان هناك دعم إداري كبير لهم، أما في الموسم الحالي تم التعاقد مع صفقات كثيرة ولم يشاركوا”.

Recent history suggested so but current form prevailed in the first Test. Like they had in the ODIs, Pakistan’s batsmen proved brittle again, against Nuwan Kulasekara and Rangana Herath, and against umpires Steve Davis and Ian Gould. Would Pakistan have imploded had Sri Lanka’s top-order batsmen not been reprieved by the umpires in the first innings?What we do know is that Pakistan missed their captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who was banned from the Galle Test because of an over-rate offence during the fifth ODI. Going into the first Test of an away series – already without a warm-up game – without your captain, can be disastrous. When that captain is Misbah, and when that side is Pakistan, the absence seems magnified.Not only have Pakistan won five, drawn two and lost zero series under Misbah, but he has also averaged 64.72 with the bat during that period. Reviled for his poor strike-rate, Misbah possesses what the thrill-a-minute dashers don’t – calmness. During Sri Lanka’s second innings in Galle, when another umpiring error denied Pakistan the wicket of Prasanna Jayawardene, Misbah’s reaction in the dressing room was telling. He put his index finger up in a mock ‘out’ signal and smiled broadly, managing to hide all the disappointment and anger within.Like a general who knows what makes his troops tick, Misbah goads Pakistan in the right direction, and keeps potential irritants at bay. He has squeezed consistency out of unpredictability. Such is his lot, though, that he gets brickbats from fans for taking the thrills of volatility away. Pakistan LWWWWWatch out for…Younis Khan batted 304 deliveries in the first Test. Pakistan collectively lasted 327 deliveries in the first innings there. He was dropped for the final ODI, but showed in Galle why he is easily Pakistan’s most important Test batsman. In a match dominated by spinners, Younis hardly looked like getting out to them, playing straight with bat firmly in front of pad and sweeping often. He fell to the umpires in the first innings and to the second new ball in the second.Much has been said about Nuwan Kulasekara’s Test record against Pakistan, and it is worth repeating. In five Tests against them, he has taken 25 wickets at 16.40. His record against other teams – two wickets at 121.50 against India, three wickets at 50.00 against New Zealand and no wickets in two Tests against England. It is the swing and seam movement; can Pakistan find a way to deal with it?Pitch and conditionsThe pitch at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground is expected to be good for batting. That is like saying rain is expected during Wimbledon. Almost every third game at the ground has been drawn. Consider the previous two games played here. Last year, Australia made 316 and 488. Sri Lanka made 473. In 2010, Sri Lanka declared their first innings on 642 for 4 only to watch India pile on 707. If Pakistan crumble at the SSC, even Misbah might not be able to hide his anger.The weather has been warm and humid.
